I have banked with Abbey National for seven years and have always found them to be very good, the staff in the local branch ( chester ) are caring and friendly they are never too busy to help when you have a quiery. Having recently signed up for the e banking facility I have found them to be very quick in sending registration numbers etc via the post , unlike my husband who banks with the royal bank of scotland, he waited for about 8 weeks before he recieved any information, and even now his account is set up he still has lots of problems trying to log in. I have'nt had any log in problems and have found it to be very quick and easy to use, you have a choice of lots of financial services , such as moving money between accounts, checking your balance and seeing summary statements for the month, you can order statements, apply for an overdraft, and increase or decrease it once you have it, you can also pay bills ( unfortunately ). The e banking facility has saved me a lot of time and wasted energy, using the telephone banking service can get really annoying you end up hanging on the phone pressing corresponding numbers to enter the service you want, and 9 times out of 10 have to speak to an advisor anyway. If you bank with the abbey national and have the use of a pc at home i would greatly reccommend you use this facility it's excellent.

TOPANGA - 17/10/00 A useful facility...pity you can`t download and then print off cash. that would save you a trip to the cashpoint.
