About time reviews were updated year 2000 was a long time ago!! Now you can only take out 1 ISA per Premium account even if in joint names, and cannot transfer any exsisting ISA, WHY. We opened current account to get the 7% VERY misleading.

If your going to invest in an ISA then A&L is the best to choose at the moment. It has the highest Interest rate going. I've got £3k cash in one and its growing nicely, and will be added to every year for around 3 years. Don't be afraid of investing in one as you can always take your money out at any time if you need to, but you can only place ONE lump sum in at the start and once a year after that so be sure you really need the money before you take it out of your ISA.

This bank account is one of the best around not only because of the high interest rates involved (6.85% for balances of under £3000 and 7% for balances of over £3000) but also because of the service it provides. I know that there are other banks that may offer slightly higher interest rates but these are usually online banks. With an account from the Alliance & Leicester you have instant access to your cash whenever you need it via a handy cash card. It is also easy to lodge money in your local branch.
