A good bank to apply with.. (Alliance & Leicester)

Advantages: Quick and easy banking

Disadvantages: Bank charges but then that applies to all banks

After being with nationwide for about 6 years with a very basic account which only had a normal cash card no debit card i asked them for a better account with debit card but they said i wasnt entitled to one... So i did a search for a better bank...

At the time money saving expert was recommending alliance and leicester as one of the best banks so i decided to apply for one..

Getting an online account with alliance and leicester is very easy... they dont even ask to see i.d or ask for a signature (slightly worrying) but anyway my account was set up very quickly!

I now have a reasonable account with extra savings account.. a debit card, cheque book etc..

Their customer service has always been very helpful. i have never had any problems and would recommend them to anyone...
My partner has an account too and we also have a joint account there aswell.

Summary: I am happy to stay with alliance and leicester indefiniately
