Advantages: Local highstreet bank,with an ok reputation

Disadvantages: Dont always give you what you want as a customer

Hmmm where can I start,Ok here goes,I opened a regular basic account this year and ended up with an Internet one as well.... how did that happen!!!!

To be honest I couldnt be happier with Barclays members of staff,both in branch and on the phone,they are always polite,and seem to always try to find a solution to my problems. The one thing I am not overly keen on though is that when it comes to me deciding and telling them what I want from my account,and what type of account I need there opinion or idea is almost certainly different to mine,they always seem to ramning down your throat products and services that you have just told them you do not ned and will not need in the forseeable future.

Hence, why I ended up with an Internet account,even though I have told the branch staff and account managers that I do not wish to have or hold this account they still opened up an account for me and provided me with an overdraft that I do not need.

At the moment though even though the account is still open I havent been charged anything....yet by Barclays, so I cannot really comment on the charges they levy or apply. If however I start getting charged on accounts I do not want,or didnt ask for then I will be back to update this review.

Overall this is just like most other banks,they give you what they want to an extent and then tell you what you should have and what you are going to have!
