Bad service (Barclays Bank)

I have been with Barclays bank for over 20 years and had always found them to be satisfactory, although I can't say that they go that extra mile, which I believe you do want when you are placing your money in there care. I used the branch in rugby and the ques were always long, the bank always busy, but they never seemed to have enough staff, and lots of empty desks!!

I also think barclays bank charges are exceptionally high, due to changes in my personal circumstances, I needed some extra help from the bank, which they were not helpful with, but then they precided to charge £30 per missed direct debit and then and extra £30 from going overdrawn per day for up to 3 consequtive days the total of the direct debits were only £45!! I found them incredibly unhelpful when I rang up to discuss this with them. I also found that I changed details with them but they didn't update the system correctly, therefore I had letters etc sent to a wrong address.

All in all I would never be willing to bank with barclays again and have moved my banking elsewhere!

Summary: Unhelpful, bad service.
