Advantages: Make your mind before and expect such poor service

Disadvantages: May be affecting somebody's interest in the bank

I opened my current account with Barclays on 22nd Sep 2008. After more than two months i.e. 25th Nov 2008, I received my Debit card after contacting the branch for about 5-6 times.

Before receiving my Debit card, I received a letter from Barclays on 24th Nov 2008 advising me that the bank is no more able to maintain my account cntract, and advised me to withdraw all the funds from the account within 14 days otherwise they wouldn't be responsible for that.

I did the same with no option behind as the bank never let me know the reason which I may satisfy them and just told me that I am not satisfying the criteria by the Bank. If I am not satisfying the Bank-criteria the why they opened my accout???? Interesting criteria for the valued customers...

So I have observed that how poor coordination is between the internal management of the bank as well as with the customers.
Having great Website, This n That, NOTHING INSIDE.

I would never recommend the viewers to be more affectionate and Valued Customer to the bank.

They didnt tell you about satisfying the criteria before you opened the account because that would be too easy!
