I have been a customer of Barclays since I was 16 years old and can honestly say I have never encountered a single problem with any aspect of their service.

In today's times it's difficult to write up a positive review on a bank due to their involvement in the current crisis but I do think that the service I have personally received from my bank has been wonderful and I cannot imagine changing to another bank!

Unfortunately for me I am not someone with millions of pounds of savings and investments with Barclays so therefore I mostly use Barclay's current account and credit services. Like most other banks using their current account is free and Barclays also guarantee a £500 overdraft if you deposit at least £1000 per month. However like all other banks they also charge a fee if you go over your withdrawal limit.

Although they have recently changed the way in which you are charged this has only increased the amount people pay rather than make it any fairer. I have been lucky and have only ever had one DD go unpaid and when I spoke to Barclays about my oversight (i.e. I was drunk and took too much out of the cash point!!) they instantly took off the charge without any hassle, which I thought was good but they did say they would not do this again.

I also frequently use the online banking service which is easy to use and always kept up to date. They have also recently introduced a Pin Sinerty system too which is a great way of fighting against online fraud! Barclays are always looking for new ways to protect your money which always gets a thumbs up from me!

As well as banking online I also use my local branch and I have always received helpful and pleasant service from the various members of staff over the years. As well as having to deposit funds I also have spoken to the advisors on many occasions to discuss my current financial position and they are always on the ball with their advice! I also visit the one in the town centre from time to time and although I receive adequate service it's nowhere near as good as the local branch.

It would take something quite big to make me leave Barclays for another bank!
