Barclays are terrible employers. Their call centre staff are given sales targets and basically bullied into acheiving them, threatening staff with dismissal. Branch staff are paid £36 for every account holder they can upgrade to Premier life. So they lie to customers promising things they will not receive. Barclays care more about their status and profits than their staff or their customers. They are sending more and more departments over to indian call centres because it is cheaper for them, but they recruit people who cant speak or understand english. Dont bank with barclays, they dont care about you, only your money. Dont open a premier life account, they are not worth the money, dont be angry with the advisor if they try to sell to you, they are pressurised into making approaches, and threatened if they dont approach you. I left after 2 years working for them, just bullies
