Barclays Bank although some what restrictive in who it will lend to/ allow account etc. It has faired better than some of the other banks in the recent economic climate. My experience has generally been positive due to a close family member working there how ever recently I required a new card and the members of staff in the Stafford branch were btoh rude and ignorant on several occasions. After this experience I would advise anyone to make sure you complain about any negative experience - make sure you get full details on their procedures and follow it through. If you have a valid complaint the apology from the bank can be worthwhile e.g. free wine/flowers etc. The main thing I would say about Barclays is that I would trust it not to lose my money, it has a responcible attitude towards lending and generally customer service is one of its key aims.
