Advantages: nice online banking system

Disadvantages: phone banking team have zero common sense and theres little customer service

I have mixed opinions on barclays. I have been with them now for the past six years. during this time i've had peroids where i've had a lot of money paid in each month, and periods where i've had hardly any and needed an overdraft. for a long time i didn't have a bad word to say about barclays. at a pushi would complain about their telephone banking service. theres no option to ismply hear your balance. and when you get through to someone they usually cannot usderstand me and cannot give me an answer even close to what i want. however i recently had to complain. it has been three months and i still have recieved no kind of feedback. just letters saying its being dealt with and we will let you know the outcome. but it shouldnt take long since it shouldnt really need to be dealt with i was just angry at the time. and rightly so to be honest. they had refused me an overdraft. fair enough. then a few days later i was the victim of fraud. i rang up and said this wasnt me and cancelled my card. i thought that was the end of it and was assured that one way or another they will make sure the money taken is returned to me. but then two days AFTER i had more moeny taken form account using the card i had cancelled two days prior to this. after a lot of confusion over the phone i went to my local branch. they werent much help either. i was left another 50 quid out of pocket and was apologised to. i pointed out that that was all the money i had and i needed it. i asked for a temporary over draft. a cheque from them that i could cash instantly somewhere. anything. and they said it would take up to ten working days to return to me. even thou it was there mistake and i was already 100 pound down before hand. ten days later i did evntually get the money back, but not the first 100 yet. they havent been very helpful at all and have no treated me well. not happy.
