Barclays are a well renowned company and live up to their reputation to a certain extent. As a customer, I have never had any trouble in contacting or getting any information on products and services. I have been a customer for around 10 years, and I just feel that in the last 3 years Barclays are not interested in the traditional personalised service that banks are renowned for, but are trying to migrate their services to a more modern, one tracked approach to getting their hands on as much more money as possible.
I have a current account, credit card and loan with barclays, and I am constantly being telephoned and pushed into purchasing insurance, protection etc on my liabilities.
As long as you are willing to put up with this, and have the will power to say no, barclays will perform to a reasonable level of expectancy.
