Advantages: no need to go out of the house

Disadvantages: a little slow

Since barclays went on-line and offered free internet banking I have not had to visit my branch on the weekly visits I used to.
I have been with them since they started. The secure proceedures make it even better,once inside the banking world of barclays you can really do anything with your bank account, you have the option to view your balance, this can be viewed from any date, so if you need to find out when a certain payment was made you just adjust the date and enter it in. You can view your direct debit payments or cancel them, as well as move money around. In the view accounts feature you can view your accounts by payee or by debit.
It is so much easier than having to queue in those awful queue`s that you get in all the banks, plus you can take your time and view things carefully.
Barclays are also a free internet provider with all the features any other internet provider has.
They provide information and access to information about borrowing needs and mortgages as well as also providing on-line business facilities as well.
It can be slow to go through the security proceedures but that makes it better really.
