Great sounding Bank but unfortunately not true at all (Co-operative Bank)
Member Name: Marion Bracken
Advantages: Right now, none Disadvantages: Internet changes made by a/c holder not accessed same day, hence charges of £35 for their mistakes. I have been with them 11 years and have gone thru hell with them. Charges of £35 for being £1 overdrawn, the bank itself ensuring that I went overdrawn by adding these charges to my a/c just before payday. I do most of my banking over the internet but I have now stopped as I discovered when, I had to change the date of payment on my standing orders, as money I was due had not come into my a/c. I was charged £35 twice because my updates done over the net were not accessed until the following day. They informed me that this was not their problem and that any changes made via the internet were not immediate. Yet they have been in the past when I changed payment dates!!! Would love to leave but not in a position to open a/c with another bank. Summary: They profit from each and every current a/c customer who goes overdrawn by £1 |
