Coutts & co. is the private international banking subsidiary of the royal bank of Scotland. The royal family banks with coutts and so does a number of the aristocracy. Coutts was a particular favorite of the late Queen Mother, and they managed all her private assets.

Coutts has a international presence in most major countries, including America which I find particularly useful.

Coutts offers a number of products and services. A coutts bank account offers professionals there own private banker and relationship manager. Who will offer you support and guidance whenever needed. The coutts bank account offers a Switch card with a 250-pound cheque guarantee facility. One of the good things about the account is that it is free as long as a balance of 3000 pounds is maintained; otherwise they charge a quarterly management fee of around 60 pounds. Coutts also offer chaps payments for around 25 pounds.

The account also offers a world signia card, which is also free as long as 50,000 is spent on the card per year, otherwise a fee of around 275 pounds is charged. This is particularly useful to arrange flights, hotel reservations having flowers sent etc. No need to bother the PA! I remember also using it in an emergency when my car had a flat tyre and I was picking up the children from school. I simply phoned the world signia service centre and they arranged for my children to be picked up in a chauffer driven car and taken to my home on time. Of course, a Coutts world signia card is always met with a warm welcome!

Coutts really comes into it's own when using it's expert wealth management services, my personal experience with this service is unrivalled and i have used a number of premier and other management services from banks. For a minimum of 500,000 pounds of investable assets. This service allows me to know that my assets are in safe and experienced hands of a coutts private banker and that a am getting a good return on my ass
ets. (Typically 7-10% gross)

Coutts also offer accounts and management services in a number of currencies. All of my children have Coutts trust funds, these were very easy to set up and knowing that my children?s futures are financially secure, takes allot of stress a way and of course voids the tax liability they create.

I highly recommend coutts they are extremely competent and always very discretionary. It is personal and efficient services tailor to my needs, which are vital into today's fast changing world.
