Advantages: Straight through to a human when calling, great online service

I want to begin by saying that I have banked with many banks over the years, and have not received good service from ANY of them. They have all been appalling. EXCEPT First Direct.

I only switched to them to get the £100 free money they offered, but I have been so pleasantly surprised that I have actually then stayed with them. I always bank online anyway, so don't have much to do with branches or other staff. But the online service has been excellent, very quick to load, easy to navigate and move around. And on the odd occasion that I have had to call them, it has been like a breath of fresh air to not have to go through any button pressing and menu selection; instsead, within 2 or 3 rings I get an actual person answering the phone which is great.

Overall I would recommend them to anyone - and that is a first for me and a bank!
