I opened a First Direct bank account, because I was attracted to the Free 25 offer. It took me 5 mins to apply online (very fast), then after a bit of paper work the account was open.
Logging in and using the account is very simple. Help desk support are very friendly, and I like the txt messaging service.
However 25 pounds took some time. I waited eagerly for 1months, and rang up again. They told me its 28 working days, so I waited bit longer and still no money, so I rang up again. They told me that they will put the money in the next day. This took several phonecalls, before the money finally arrived into my account. Although this small hassle, its not bad for a free 25 pounds credit.
