First direct online banking is the best on line bank there is I joined just about a year ago. At that time I needed complete day to day running of my account as I had just gone self employed and was counting the pennies.
The standard account included on line banking which give me complete control so I could transfer money from one account to another setup direct debits and standing orders and be able to transfer funds to credit cards when I liked by just logging on through my PC. I forget you can also order cheque books paying in books and email them through the online bank. Plus there was the added bonus of a free £250 overdraft limit.
You also have a local call helpline if you need to talk to someone about your account and they even have their own tech for any help with the online banking
Where they save money is they have no high street bank just one central office in Leeds. If you don’t have your wages paid into your account you can use any branch of HSBC free of charge and any cash amount is credited the same day.
I find this sort of account suits me very well with the added bonus of being able to log on seeing everything that is going with your account everyday is great.
