I dont think there is anything wrong with the hfc buy now pay later options we took out this last year and we have just paid it in full as agreed when we started. We received 1 letter at the beginning of march stating that the scheme was nearly up and that we would start paying interest if we did not settle the account by the date stated, a week or so later we received another 1 with direct instructions and a slip with the information on to return with the cheque if we wanted to settle, both these letters stated the same address to post to and the same date in which it should arrive by. It was all very straight forward and very easy i would reccomend this way of buying!
The thing people forget is when they send payments is that cheques take a while to clear and if they havent received that cheque by the date that they state in their letter they will certainly not tell you they will just return your cheque and then they will charge you interest and you will have to pay it over the time that you agreed in the beginning!!
Just remember to allow enough time for it to reach them (2-3 days postage time) and then the clearance on top (3-7 days cheque clearing) also dont forget that it make take a couple of days floating around their office too.
