Oh well, it’s time for me to be a reet Banker and try to give the good people of Dooyoo a bit of guidance. I realise I have neglected this category for a while but banking and finance simply doesn’t turn folks on much. I opted for Halifax ISA Saver as it had all the functions, which I wanted and because I already had saving accounts with them and thought having all your money in one place was much easier to manage. You can save up to £3,000 a year - free of all UK income and capital gains tax. Last tax year I closed my ISA and moved to Smile. The reason I moved was the piss poor return Halifax was offering on my investment. In March I was reading a newspaper and they were comparing all the Mini Cash ISAs that were around and I saw that Halifax was one of the worse.
