Disadvantages: The most complicated and problematic internet banking I have experienced

When it was finally launched I excitedly opened a Halifax web saver account. It seemed like a great idea from an institution which I have used for a number of years and have always been very pleased with. However the pressure to launch the product quickly seems to have led to being very problematic to use.

When I first used the service it was very problematic to even log in. Twice I had to call customer services as my account was suspended. I was not able to open fixed rate options either, and as I had not received my ATM card I wrote to the Halifax.

To give them credit they were very quick to get back to me, and by phone too. They solved the ATM card problem, although they said I should be able to open fixed rate options too (and I have still had no luck opening one). I'm not having problems logging in now, although I've made a paper note of all my passwords and question answers (including spaces and case types as it seems very sensitive).

At the moment it is a very frustrating system to use, and not one I by any means trust fully. However given my past experience of the Halifax I do expect it to get better, and quickly.
