This is worst kind of system-administered banking I have come across.

We applied up fo an easycash account, and were immediately sent two letters - one (but only one?!) with my name spelt incorrectly (truncated - my name's 8 letters long!).

One letter requested passport photocopies (only for one of us!), the other gave us a password each, to be used with (unguessable) usernames we apparently should already know but had not yet been given (I later discovered that this is a known fault in their system, and that we would never have been sent them). This was prior to the account being opened.

When I rang to get the usernames, they would not give me both (although I had made the application and had both letters in my hand - and it is my fiancees hen weekend), for "security reasons".

This might seem reasonable, until you consider that all I had to do get my own username was to repeat my full name twice and my postcode three times. If this is all it takes to impersonate, then I wouldn't trust them with any money!

And if their administration is all like this, then prepare for nightmares.
