Halifax-online.co.uk is the website of the bank, Halifax now part of the Lloyds Banking Group.

Halifax's online application allows customers to access details of their accounts without having to telephone their head office or visit their local branch.

In order to access your accounts online you will first need to contact Halifax directly (either your branch or their call centre) and set up your user ID and passwords, you will usually recieve your password in the post for security reasons.

Once you are set up you can access your accounts 24 hours a day 7 days a week, meaning you can keep track of your accounts whatever the time of day.

You have the option to transfer money between accounts online, so if you go overdrawn on one account you can transfer money from another account (i believe before 3pm) to avoid paying a daily overdraft fee.

Some other lenders don't give you the option to see your mortgage online; however, Halifax do so whichever product you have with Halifax (current account, savings account, mortgage, loan or credit card) you will be able to keep track of it online.

With their online service you can also apply for further accounts should you wish to.

The only downside I find is that they only show 3 pages worth of transactions for their current accounts and it would be helpful if they allowed you to track transactions further back.
