Advantages: Brilliant staff, good rate of interest on account.

Disadvantages: They could not change my branch without me going into the branch.

I had an account with Halifax for about two years, but I closed it because I moved and they needed me to go into the branch to change the branch I banked from.

This was a shame as I was exceedingly pleased with the account in all other respects, and I would bank again with them.

I always found it easy to contact them, whether it was their speedy in branch service, or their easy to use (easy to reach someone who can help!) telephone service.

When I did deal with the staff, I found them to be so pleasant. It was like they were always in a good mood. They also did everything that they could to help, and it was never too much trouble.

The branch I used was clean, spacious and well located in the city.

The account itself was fine- I had a free account, which was a current account, but got a good rate of interest (about 6% I think) so I was pleased with that also.

I definitely recommend Halifax!

Summary: If I have occassion to change my account, I will go back to Halifax!
