What an awful Company.
My son had an account with the Halifax. After going £10.00 overdrawn last year I paid off over £128.00 and asked that the account be closed down. My Son was with me at the time and authorised them to speak to me and to close the account. After paying off the charges with my own Halifax Debit Card, the young operative got quite nasty with me and told me that even though I had paid the a/c off and closed it he was going to add another £189.00 worth of charges. I told him to forget it as we were not paying any more. I advised the operative that I had 7 accounts with the Halifax and even though they had allowed my a/c to be emptied by an unknown party and never advised me I still had the 7 Accounts which I would closed immediately. He just laughed and said 'and'. What an attitude for a Bank. The Halifax even though the account was closed last November have handed the matter over to the Debt Collectors. I have a faxed journal confirming that a fax had been sent to them but they have not even replied. A total Shower of Idiots. Would you not think in this economic climate they would want to look after their Customers. Well tomorrow I am going to attend the local branch and close all my accounts.
Seven months down the line they have handed the alleged debt to another firm of debt collectors. Why will they not answer the original letter and why hand this over to another agent when the first agent wiped it from their books. DO NOT USE THE HALIFAX AND FORGET ABOUT THE CUSTOMER SERVICES THEY ARE ABSOLUTELY HORRENDOUS. I hope they take this to court they will be made a laughing stock

- 20/07/09 Sent comments to the Head Office they have never even bothered replying to the complaint. Guaranteed delivery too as I sent it by Fax and printed off a report. |

- 20/07/09 Obviously you did not read the review properly. I also commented on the fact that the Halifax allowed some unknown person to actually withdraw from my Account over £3500.00 over a two day period. I have never overdrawn on this account. When I tried to get fuel was told by Tescos that there was a problem. Halifax fraud close at 5 Oclock at night. When I asked the fraud department why these transactions had not been picked up they said. "we cant keep an eye of everyones account" I commented on the unusual activity but they were not interested. Although my wages had gone into the account at midnight they would not allow me to draw any cash as they said I was overdrawn.
Is this not gross incompetence. |
