Safe option but low rates! (HSBC)

Advantages: easy, good customer service, modern Disadvantages: not the best rates HSBC is one of the largest banks in the UK and has a reputation for being honest, reliable and modern. In my opinion I believe they offer a good service to customers - staff are clearly trained in how to satisfy their customers, to be knowledgeable about products and to have a "greeter" at the door who will direct you to the quickest way to complete what you need to do. The products themselves are ok - I have had experience of HSBC for seven years and whilst their rates are not the best, they are very defiantley one of the banks who have long opening hours, minimal queues and someone there to sort my query which negates their rates. I use them as a basic account holder and then save elsewhere. They offer online and telephone banking as well and 99% of things you need to do with your bank you can speak to someone about over the phone or do yourself on the internet at home, therefore they truely are a 24hr bank. I would recommend, however I should state as it may be relevant to people that if you are claiming back bank charges they are extremely unhelpful, unlike my experience with RBS and Alliance. Summary: Use as your current account. |
