For 3 years I have held a current account with HSBC where I keep some of my other cash in. HSBC does not seem to offer better advantages than what you would get at Natwest with saving rates or with good accounts like the student account. The other notice able problem with them happens on their cashier tills they only have 3 staff ... Read the complete review

HSBC stands for the Hong-Kong and Shang-Hai Banking Corporation, and due to the international nature of their banking has been widely billed as the healthiest bank both entering and throughout the credit crunch. I have been a customer of HSBC for 11 years now, and while I have opened secondary accounts with other banks, I have always kept my main ... Read the complete review

I was with Barclays at 18 years of age, but they refused me a student loan so I tried HBC and getting the loan couldn't of been easier so I dropped Barclays. talking to friends at the time they had similar issues with Barclays. Since switching I have been very happy with HSBC and have no reason to change 13 years later. Debit card was ... Read the complete review

HSBC bank ....or Midland as it was formally known. I Joined the bank as a Griffin saver, For those of you old enough to remember, when you joined the bank as a griffin saver you received a new school bag, pencil case, and dictionary as 'free' gifts. After a bit of general nosing around on dooyoo for the past few weeks, it came to my attention that there are a hell of a lot of poor reviews for banking companies. This compelled me to write about my experiences with my bank, HSBC. I joined HSBC a number of years ago, probably around the 2000 mark and although i was only ten at the ... Read the complete review

I've been banking with HSBC since 1994 and they have, in all honestly, never actually let me down and looking back on it have actually been very helpful. A few years ago, I was struggling to manage my finances as well as I could but HSBC continued to allow Direct Debits etc. to be paid from my current account and this, in my opinion, ... I am no financial expert, most financial talk goes right over my head, so I cannot review from that perspective, instead I shall review as a long standing customer and a victim of identity theft. I have had my current account with HSBC for many years and remember my mum taking me there to open the account when I was about 11. I had ... Read the complete review

This is a personal account of my experience with HSBC rather than a full review of their products and services. My account was opened in 1984 with the Midland Bank, subsequently taken over by HSBC. A few minor problems to begin with, but generally ok until we made the mistake of using the world's favourite bank to operate an account in Euros, as ... Read the complete review

Please be aware that this is a review of my personal experience within this one branch and is not a reflection on HSBC as a whole. I ventured in to this branch of HSBC on a Monday afternoon. I have been saving up for a motorbike for some time now and eventually had the funds to buy one. First of all this was quite a journey for me as ... Read the complete review

We bank with HSBC for most of our financial needs and on the whole have been more than satisfied with the service provided. There are ups and downs with every bank on the high street at the moment and I will endeavour to be frank with my report on HSBC to give you the clearest view of them. Our local branch is relatively small although well ... Read the complete review

HSBC is one of the largest banks in the UK and has a reputation for being honest, reliable and modern. In my opinion I believe they offer a good service to customers - staff are clearly trained in how to satisfy their customers, to be knowledgeable about products and to have a "greeter" at the door who will direct you to the quickest way ... Large high street bank that don't deal with your complaints effectively. Despite being a model customer and having a lot of money in various accounts with them I have had some pretty poor treatment. Had my cards expired early and did not receive any replacements for a month, despite chasing them up. Avoid.

I have been a customer of HSBC for over 15 years and have never switched banks purely because they have never given me any problems. I have had a bank account with HSBC for around 3 years now. The reason I opened the account was because a new branch opened near to me which open on Sunday and until 8pm week nights. I've been with them since the days of Griffin Savers when they were Midland Bank and now my mortgage, current account, savings are all with them, I did have some accounts at barclays but all are now with HSBC. They're very helpfull, loads of branches, good internet banking site and generally I'm unable to fault them. In addition they're one of hte biggest banks in the world, and to date they are nearly the only bank in the UK that's not had a major bail-out by the government, no cash injections etc. I have given them the maximum 5 star rating for their service, products and also their financial footing. I know which bank I'd rather be with in this financial climate and it is HSBC.

HSBC have a history of offering good savings accounts, I remember 10% regular savings and 6% instant access with monthly interest.
