Having read the reviews of other people on here about HSBC, it seems that not many people get on with them, I must be a rarity! I have had my HSBC account since I was very little, my parents set it up for me. Both my parents have accounts with them as well and never have any problems. I have moved my way through several ... I'll be brief. The worst money grabbing organisation I have ever had the misfortune to be a customer of. I'd sooner put my hand in a blender than waste more of my time talking to the mindless Indian based customer services 'teams'. I have been with HSBC my whole life (I grew up in Hong Kong) and once thought they were a good bank. I have reached the absurd point where I now hate them. I have nothing good to say about this bank and will be leaving them as soon as I have paid them the ridiculous charges they have placed on my account due to a situation not of my making. Please do yourself a favour...do not bank with this company. One star is seriously not low enough!

HSBC Online Banking HSBC online banking is another way to manage your own accounts online. I don't think this website is as good as Natwest simply as you cannot change your banks names online which does make it hard to distinguish between the different bank accounts, therefore very confusing to manage. I opened a student account with HSBC when i started university and to start with i didnt really have a problem with the bank, although i consistently recieved poor service whenever i stepped into a branch. I recently looked for one more bank in UK in order to have an extra cash card when I go abroad. I decide to try with HSBC also because they have a branch near my office. When I told the assistant that I wanted to open a new account, I was offered either to wait in the queue or to book an appointment, which I ... Read the complete review

being with HSBC premier for more than 3 years all I can say about the service and products is: crap!!! they block your cards without letting you know when you are on the maldives and they think the transaction could be fraudulent, their authorisation system for cards is not available half of the time, their staff is uninformed and not helpful as they always fall back on their procedures, investment options are limited to UK and US (!!!) etc, etc, etc.. it is probably the worst service I have EVER experienced from a service provider on a continuing basis. the worlds global bank may be global but the neither organisation knows about the other, systems are not integrated and data quality is poor at best. will leave the bank asap and can only recommend everybody to do the same until they have resolved their issues.

I opened a HSBC bank account nearly two years ago, and have had nothing but trouble with them ever since. Their level of customer service, both on the phone and in branch has been nothing but disgusting. The simplest of tasks, such as starting a standing order, or ordering a new cheque book, cannot be completed without at least a couple ... Read the complete review

I took out a student loan with hsbc while i was at university which had a duration of 5 years for payback. I paid this loan on time every single month without fail for 3.5 years. It has been a very interesting last thirty minutes, reading the reviews of the self titled "worlds local bank" HSBC. It seems that there is a general lack of satisfaction with one the largest banks in the world and it inspired me to share with you my recent dealings with HSBC. Now I can speak about HSBC as a customer ... Read the complete review

I had been with HSBC for about 15 years and initially was more than happy with them. However over the years I became increasingly disillusioned with them and the service they provided. They paid money out of my account by Direct Debit that I have not even set up and the reaction to this? Basically "ooops, sorry but go ... Read the complete review

I am not impressed by the HSBC, I have been a customer of theirs for 25 years now and a couple of years ago I had a Renault Clio that I purchased on one of these Options things where you pay so much monthly and have a final payment at the end. During my ownership of this car, I started a new job with a company car so when the ... Read the complete review

As I'm sure you'll know, HSBC is one of the biggest banks in the world, depending on how you measure it, so I don't need to go into how it started and stuff. I opened my first Livecash account in 2005 when there used to be branch near me; but this later closed down. I got a solo card with a picture of CDs on it, which was very ... The HSBC has been fantastic to us in 2008 they cater for everyones needs, and nothing is to much trouble their interest rates are not to bad either. I find them very helpful in getting a loan. The main thing to remember is to try and have a good savings history and a long term job to pay back your loan. Reduce you credit card debts and to live within your means. Also take out an insurance policy just in case you need it if you do happen to fall on hard times. Try to have a vision of where you would like to be financially better of in the future.
