Advantages: One on every high street

Disadvantages: Only interested in taking your money, not helping you save it

I have been a customer of Lloyds TSB for 10 years now, and can honestly say during all that time they have only wanted to know me when my bank balance is looking healthy. I can't even submit a balance enquiry at the counter without them telling me my account needs a review (no it doesn't thanks, you just want to sell me things!).

When someone I know had their credit card details cloned and purchases made on the internet around 2 months ago, their solution was to try and sell him the platinum account with fraud protection - he declined and has received 3 similar letters from them since offering him the fraud protection - yet he is still awaiting a letter with a security code to unlock his credit card? All they are bothered about is selling you more products rather than help you manage the ones you already have.

I will get round to changing banks soon, you just sometimes get the feeling it's better the devil you know than the devil you don't!

Summary: Great salesmen, shame about the service
