Advantages: If you have nothing else to do they will certainly keep you busy
Disadvantages: lost card...over and over again
Ahhh Lloyds TSB are so infuriating!
I had always had a fairly good relationship with them, perhaps it was because i was a good customer, never incurred any charges and never caused any problems for them. I had my first account with them when I was 14 and used them through university which was all fairly smooth going.
However a month ago I was checking my finances and realised I was paying for my account without using any of them additional benefits. I decided to change to the classic account (from the gold account which costs £12 a month) and since then I have had nothing but problems with them.
I was supposed to get a new card sent to me and they offered to deliver it to work. However I got a call from them to say they had tried to deliver it at work but were unable to do so (???). I then called them up to arrange another delivery but they had sent the card back to the central card storage facility. A lot of calling and going in various brances ensued and resulted in them having to order me another card, to be delivered to a local branch.
I was told this would take a week but when I went to collect they had lost in within the branch. A lot more calling and waiting around until it was decided that they needed to order me a new card. So now I have another week or so to wait.
So if you want a bank that loses your card on multiple occasions (i last had a working bank card almost 4 weeks ago!) and then be fairly rude to you on the phone then join Lloyds!

- 30/07/09 I've been with them since the mid 1970s and until the last couple of years, they'd always been brilliant - I won't go into the problems I've had with them recently as it would take forever, suffice to say that I've now moved to Barclays. |
