I recently opened an account with Lloyds TSB as I wanted to have another account to use for my day to day expenses and have found the experience since opening the account to be a good one.
I used the account opening facilities online and found that their website was very well designed and easy to use which is something I will use for most of my account management needs but I also wanted something that offered me more.
My local branch is about 5 to 10 minutes from my flat and is a nice and clean branch with friendly staff who are helpful and always smartly turned out. The branch has one cash point outside which offers more facilities than many including the ability to pay in cash or cheques. The availability of branches near to me is excellent with one in the town where my Mum lives (about 15 minutes away on the train) and more than one branch available in Glasgow city centre which are open of Saturday mornings that helps me if I do have any urgent banking needs.

Positives:

- A large amount of branches with good opening times
- Cash points offer pay-in availability which helps those who don't want to use online banking
- Online and telephone banking are easy to setup and use
- Friendly and helpful staff
- Well maintained branches

Negatives:

- None

I have so far found the entire experience of dealing with Lloyds TSB to be a good one and am happy that I opened an account with them. I would recommend them to others as they are helpful and friendly and have a large number of branches with good opening times.
