Advantages: good branch network/ cashpoint machine

Disadvantages: can't resolve customer problems

Having been with LLoyds for 17 years I now find myself being in the position of having to change banks.Apparently statistics say you're more likely to get divorced than change your bank...so it's a major step.

I'm basically fed up with the bad service I've recieved over the last few months. On my part I've been a good customer, stayed in credit / within my overdraft, taken out loans with them and have had a steady account. On their part they've failed to adequately resolve my problem - I've not been getting regular statements. I've seen many different staff about this over the last 6 months to no avail. The rest of the post is fine so the problem must lie with the bank.

The staff are generally very good, but there doesn't seem to be anyone there who can give you the answers you need, the advice and help given varies but has been without results.

Anyway this customer is taking his business elsewhere.

I was a gold service customer, with my own accoutn manager, and could I get through to him on the phone - never. I still had to go through about 3 call centres.
A good op

I had a similar problem with Lloyds some years ago - statements not arriving. The staff at the bank were so reluctant to accept that they could be at fault. Interesting that DavidJWest suggested that postal staff might be to blame.....I could understand credit/debit cards but what advantage could they gain from stealing statements?

I'm sorry, but posties are more interested in Birthday cards with money in than a flaming bank statement - I work in customer services for Royal Mail (hasn't been the GPO for 12 years!) and the only things that SEEM to go missing are bank statements and insurance cover notes.... strange that! - please think first b4 posting a statement like this david, all posties aren't thieves! (IMHO)
