How can my brother get back his money from Lloyds TSB? My brother maintained a current account with Lloyds TSB. On a holiday, he went to India and was barred from entering UK by an immigration officer cos he did not take seriously a question asked by the officer. That's really unfair. But what happened next is tragic. Don't ...  Read the complete review

Lloyds TSB: We're not that bad really (442 words)
by Anon - written on 05/01/08

Am a LTSB staff member so have been reading our reviews with interest. There seem to be a mix of good and bad. I would like to say to those people who complain about being charged - stop spending money you don't have and you won't be charged. Its that simple, lots of other customers manage not to go overdrawn every other week. Calling us and ...  Read the complete review

I am disgusted with the way that Lloyd's TSB have treated me as a customer. I have been banking with Lloyd's TSB for nearly over 10 years and have had no problems with them until recently. I received a new cash-point card from them only to find that it wouldn't work on the usual cash-point machines that use. After contacting the bank, they ...  Read the complete review

My husband and I had a joint bank account with Lloyds and when we divorced he kept the account number and I had my name removed. He moved away and I moved house and a few weeks later, my ex husband accused me of hacking into his bank account. I have been a customer of Lloyds TSB for over thirty years and have to admit that I have had my ups and downs with them. Please do not underestimate the sliminess and ineptitude of Lloyds. I have only been a client of theirs for four days and already I am making plans to close my utterly hopeless student account. We were a new business start-up and had to put all our trust and confidence in Lloyds TSB to finalise our business funding, as we were told, in five-weeks. Lloyds TSB created delays (Maladministration) to the process, for which the DTi Small Firms Loan Guarantee Scheme was the vehicle/basis, and they failed to listen to any of our concerns due to ...  Read the complete review

I am not sure what the statistics are for switching banks, but I guess most people do not do it very often, primarily because of the perceived hassle involved, particularly with maintaining direct debits. I however, have never switched from Lloyds Bank (now LloydsTSB) for my current account for over 20 years. My main reason for this is that they ...  Read the complete review

What can I say? They have the unenviable reputation of being 'the worst offenders' - avoid like 5 plagues and ergot poisoning all rolled together. 1) They appear to deliberately arrange transactions so that they can apply charges (such as when paying in cash to cover a cheque - the cheque manages to be taken from the account before the ...  Read the complete review
