Advantages: Friendly and does exactly what you want it to.

Disadvantages: Car Insurance not the cheapest

In the current economic climate, banking and your money can be a scary subject. However, I have been with Nationwide for approximately 44 years and I couldn't be happier! Every week you seem to hear of another bank or building society in trouble, but as of yet I have not heard Nationwide in the news. I currently have my joint current account and a savings account with Nationwide. While my money may not be earning massive interest or being invested agressively, I feel my money is safe and that is all I want from my bank/building society. I did used to have my car insurance with Nationwide however, I have since been able to find cheaper car insurance elsewhere. Nationwide might be viewed as boring banking but it is reliable, trustworthy and honest. I make use of both internet banking as well as using the branch itself, both of which offer an excellent service. The staff in the branch are always friendly and do not constantly try to sell me other items. Overall, if you are looking for an agressive banking system this place may not be for you, but if you want to keep your money safe I think this is a great place to look into.

Summary: I wont be moving my money any time soon.
