If you have the time to check - maybe it's not bad (Nationwide Building Society)
Member Name: Trishajs
Advantages: Right this mnure- not a one! Disadvantages: Lack of Customer Care I have been a loyal customer of Nationwide for many years- when ISAs were first introduced I went to them and until this year had stayed with them ever since. My 2009/2010 ISA is with another provider as I felt let down by Nationwide. I am not stupid, I know interest rates have been in a steady decline, but I was more than shocked to find that my ISA interest had dropped by almost 5% and this being for a Member's rate (long term customers qualify for higher rates). Had I had a single notification about these changes - no - not a one. Had they mentioned that I could get a fixed rate for a year of 3%- no - not a word. At a time when banks and building societies should be trying to please us- not exactly being in our good books- this reliance on our complacency doesn't endear them to me. Let's face it- who amongst us has the time to regularly check we are getting the best deals? Summary: You really need ro shop around |
