Advantages: Easy and fast to use

Disadvantages: Cant move my money from ISA

So have been a member of Nationwide for a very very long time, have always been happy with the service. But today I'm reviewing the website where I do my internet banking.

Have been using Nationwide.co.uk for a few years now. When I go to the homepage I am confronted with all kinds of options, offers on home insurance, travel insurance, mortgages etc... There is also a section with all the latest news affecting the buliding society. Plus sections that will take me to various different services the website can provide me with. usually though, I just log in!

When I log in I'm taken to my own personnal page with all my accounts before me. I have a current acount, an ISA and a credit card account. All my basic totals are on this page, so I can see how much have got available and how much I own on my credit card very easily.

If I go onto my current account I am given a statement with all my recent transactions on. This is only a basic statement and if I want more detail I can look at a full statement that gives me more detailed information. From this page I can also check my overdraft, change it if I want too. I can activate an e-saving account. And the one I do often use is make transfers. So I can pay many of my bills, manage my direct debits and transfer money between accounts. This is great as it means I don't need to call into the branch to do most of the things I need.

The credit card section also gives me a statement so that I know exactly what I've spent and where and of course how much I owe.

My ISA is the same too, a simple statement. The only thing I don't like about my ISA is that I can't transfer money from my ISA into my current account. I can move it from my current to my ISA but not back. I have to go into the branch for this. I would say this is the only thing I don't like about the website.

So overall this is a really good tool that saves me plenty of time. I can do most of my banking over the internet and it's a sight a really trust to be safe and secure. A very good site!

Summary: Excellent all round service
