Natwest BankNewest Review: ... printing machines. I don't really find this to be a problem because in my experience I find it means that you can actually speak to someone rather than just be pushed towards a machine! A problem I have found especially within city centre branches is that they never seem to have enough staff to deal with the demand of their services. For example should I choose to go into a large branch at lunchtime I should expect a long wait because the queues are always huge. I appreciate that they may have more people coming in at lunchtime on their breaks, however I do feel that they should accommodate for this by having extra staff available ... more |

I remember being about thirteen or fourteen years old when my mother suggested I have my own bank account, this would be where I could put my pocket money - meaning I would have to start budgeting for myself! I can't remember exactly why we chose Natwest bank; I suspect it was probably done to some freebie or promotion. Anyway in we went, set up my account (fairly stress free I seem to remember) and I am still banking with them now. I am twenty one now, so feel that I have been with the bank long enough to pass my opinion on off them. ***Branch*** Natwest has over 3000 branches within the UK (as I have been reliably informed by their ... The only bank that I have been with is Natwest. I opened my first account with them when I was 16. I opened a current account and an ISA account. I loved the interest rate that I got with the ISA, but now due to the recession it is less impressive but I cannot blame that on the bank itself. The next account I opened was a Student Account, it was easy to make an appointment and took about 20 minutes to sort out opening the account and getting a credit card. However, later I found out from another branch that I should have been offered a savings account and that my overdraft had not been put on my student account. This was extremely annoying, because as ... Read the complete review

As far as Banks go, Natwest is pretty much as bad as the rest of them. Our experience with Natwest has been pretty appalling for a variety of reasons, so rather than explain all the services which they offer (which 99% of the time are exactly the same as every other bank), I'm going to highlight the problems we have had with them so you can judge for yourself whether or not they are worthy of looking after your hard earned dosh. We have held our bank account with Natwest jointly for six years and my husband has banked with them for over 15 years. After we fell pregnant with our first child whilst starting to get a new business off the ground, we fell into ... Read the complete review

I have had a mixed experience with NatWest, and as with other reviewers here the only reason I don't drop them immediately and bank elsewhere is because the 'current economic situation' has caused banks to act as if you've applied for a £100,000 loan instead of just a current account. I applied for a student account with them in 2005 because a) I wanted the railcard and b) my older sister had banked with them, and some of her peers had experienced hassle with other providers. By far the best facility is the interest free overdraft, as unlike some student accounts they make it really easy to pay off once you've graduated. Also, they don't ... Read the complete review

Ever since being 16 years old my number one bank account has been with Natwest. It started of all well with them and it still all remains good to this day. At the point when I turned 18 they gave me a special webcam for free after opening up a student account with them plus they gave me a free five year rail card also! For students this offer still stands so Natwest certainly are giving to their customers! When coming to bank at Natwest at any branch you will always notice how much staff they in.They make it easier no for those coming to give cheques in by having a deposit box for them so you do not have to wait in the ques. Natwest are pushy and when they see ... Read the complete review
