Natwest bank review
This is a review of the natwest step account.
Application process
The application process for this account is quite simple you will need a form of address and identity id and the bank may check for electoral roll details but as this is a simple bank account they do not perform a credit search.
I opened my account in branch and was informed of the decision straight away.
You can also apply online and over the telephone.
What you get
With this account you get a solo debit card with which you can withdraw up to £250 a day as long as you have it in the account. You can pay in wages cheques etc and you can have direct debits and standing orders set up on the account.
You do not get a cheque book or an overdraft on this account.
Arrival of card/pin
My card and pin arrived really fast within 3days of me completing my in branch application.
Ease of overall process was great and I was able to use my new account straight away.
Access to your money is easy as you can go to any natwest or link cash machine or withdraw cash in branch, also you can pay for items on your card online and in the shops.
Overall I find this is a brilliant basic account which would great for someone just wanted to pay bills and have money in.
Also this is great if you have poor credit a you still get a debit card and my account reports my activity to Experian which is good for building up a good credit history.
Summary: great for someone with no need for an overtop current account
