Express Review on Natwest Bank

My father died. I'm his executor. The Natwest sent me a statement saying how much there was in his accounts.

The Natwest then send me a cheque. It was £104.50 short.

The Natwest then sent me a closing statement to say that the initital higher amount stated had been 'withdrawn'.

I'm now on my ninth person trying to sort this out.

No - they don't have - emails, so that I can send them copies of the letters and they admoit there has been a istake but they 'can't get copies of the documents as the account has been closed'/ sigh.

It's over three hours on the phone and I must say that some of them tried to be helpful but the IT doesn't allow it - Natwest is one bank that I would avoid like the plague.

Thank goodness I don't bank with them.

I have had an account with Natwest bank for about ten years now and over all I have been really happy with the service they have provided. The staff at my branch is generally very friendly and polite and I love the fact that they always ask if there is anything else they can do for me. I'm not particularly confident and I tend to speak ...  Read the complete review

Natwest has to be one of the most troublesome bank I had ever have. I changed my address, went down to the branch and submitted a form with my new address. Turns out that someone who was inputting my address screw up big time because they omitted my flat number. I did not get my debit card and my bank statements. I went down to the ...  Read the complete review

This review will explain a problem I had with opening a Natwest student account, in the hope that others won't have it themselves. It will not cover the basics of banking, so you'll have to check other reviews for that. A couple of years ago, I applied for loans to consolidate debt and was turned down. I took the advice on fool.co.uk ...  Read the complete review

I recently opened an E-savings account with Natwest. Sadly i have to say that my opinion of them since doing that is not great! I chose to open a savings account with Nat West as they have an account that gives you a bonus of 2.10% for the first year. As interest rates are dropping i thought this would give me the best chance of ...  Read the complete review

Let's be honest, no-one really *loves* a bank. We resent them because they tell us we have no money left, when what we really wna to to know is that yes, we can go shopping. However, some banks can soften the blow a little, and Natwest do seem to be approaching human in the way they deal with their customers. The branch on campus that I have ...  Read the complete review

I have held accounts with a few banks, and I have t say that Natwest is my least favourite. I know that no bank is perfect, and they can all be frustrating to deal with at times, but in my experience this one was worse than the others. As banks go, the Natwest seem fairly average to me. At least they have always been consistent. I opened the account about 20 years ago and have the basic personal account that pays such little interest it isn't worth filling the screen with such a small number. Although I have always been in credit, they have given me a £200 ...  Read the complete review

Express Review on Natwest Bank

I think that NatWest is the worst bank in the world. I moved from HSBC what a really bad move that was. NatWest branch staff are rude, unhelpful All call centre staff are even worst horrible people work there! Unhelpful, Not very trustable, their charges are money grabbing and high and unfair. The bank is the worst bank i have ever banked with and i wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Unless of course you want to pay lots o f money for going overdrawn by just 400p NatWest, You are the worst bank in world and that i mean 2000% their policies are unhelpful and ridicules. The only friendly people are the people that make you change your mind when you want to close. Still my word of advice is to bank with Barclays they seem a good bank!!!!!! At the moment

I have held an account with NatWest for a number of years now and have mixed feelings in all truth. This is mainly due to the staff at my local branch in Loughborough. Express Review on Natwest Bank

I find the website for the bank quite easy to use. However in normal use the same cannot be said about the branches. Individuals are in the main helpful but, there seems to be either a lack of organisation, or, too many systems to navigate to achieve even the most simple of tasks. I have not found them particularly helpful when actually managing to reach them by phone and their completion of simple tasks such as sending out forms etc as requested is awful without several calls to remind them to do so.

I needed a new bank account but the NatWest person tried to sell me a bank account totally inappropriate to my needs. A simple Current Plus account would have been perfect, but the sales assistant was only interested in selling me an expensive Advantage Gold account with all sorts of 'benefits' I will never need. I think they must get a bonus in their salary for every Advantage Gold account sold.
