Don't trust this pile of garbage with your money. They would not let me make a payment, a bloody important house deposit, even though there was ample money in my account. This led to the completion date being missed. Bloody disgrace, initially was going to close account, but after a little thought, I recommend this course of action : Withdraw ... Customers beware – Read this if you are considering Natwest. Natwest offers one of the poorest services in UK banking. It always comes in the last positions in customer satisfaction surveys. They offer a meagre 0.1% interest on their current account, when you could be getting 3% with Halifax or 2.5% with Abbey. Their opening times are ... Read the complete review

Natwest first caught my eye when I was 12 years old, because they offered a debit card. OK, it was a solo, but it still allowed me to buy things over the internet such as CD's without asking for a card from my parents. The account I opened was Card Plus, and at the time gave me 5% interest, that was paid ... Read the complete review

My experience of Natwest was not too bad until the last couple of years (I've been with them for 15 yrs in total). My job is reasonably well paid but the work can be inconsistent but is pretty much guranteed to provide a stable income annually. I addition to this, I have started to invest in property in the South Wales area and being a ... Read the complete review

If you have a problem with Nat West online banking, you have no alternative but to call them on what appears to be (surprise, surprise) an under manned (or should that be "under personned") customer helpline. You can't e-mail them. Recently when I was abroad, I received a dubious e-mail scam posting pretending to be from Nat ... Read the complete review

I have banked with Natwest since 1969. During that time they have made many mistakes with my account most of which I have spotted and dealt with. They have at times been helpful and useful but this year they have gone too far. I went overdrawn on my account. OK bad show on me. Although this was one week before my regular pay day. Natwest ... Well I could say many things about this bank, but not many that can be repeated here. I first opened a natwest Advantage Gold account about 4 years ago, everything went smoothly for a while, then I applied for a debit card, "you can't have one", an overdraft maybe? "You can't have one", after 2 years of having an ... Read the complete review

In recent years banks have so often been moving to customer service centres and removing the personal link with their local branches. My experience of the Natwest is different, with a personal contact point at a local branch, with a mobile number, direct dial or alternative number if he is not available. As a personal contact point, this ... Read the complete review

One my 13th birthday I decided that being a woman of the world I needed a bank account, so off I went down the High Street and went into all the banks to see which one gave me the best freebie - Natwest offered an 8 pound record token and I have been with them ever since. I went to them when I joined university, an account manager sat me ... Read the complete review

well this is a mixed review of Natwest which in many respects is a great bank and in others could offer better service. it is true that they offer a wide range of accounts with reasonable interest rates and there is somthing for everyone. however they are not always flexible and are not always the first to own up when they make an error. having ... I have had a natwest bank account for about 8 years now, and have never had any major upset with them. I have to confess that i work for Royal Bank (RBS) who own natwest, but only in a call centre role and not to do with retail banking. As for natwest branches and branch staff, they are indifferent. You neednt think you can get a laugh out of most ... Read the complete review

Its a fine sunny day, the birds are singing and butterflies drift without aim in the warm spring breeze. You are on your way to town to browse the stores and see those smiling faces, the hustle and bustle of typical British culture. Don't go there! - Advantages: Big bank - Disadvantages: All decisions made by a computer, You can never speak to a real person over the phone, Poor computer systems. The bank 'accidentally' cancelled all my direct debits & standing orders leaving me with big problems. They blamed a computer error.

I have thoroughly enjoyed reading the various comments from other dooyooers about the Nat West Bank, and felt that no discussion page would be complete without my input – so here goes….. No, this is not a desperate attempt to justify what goes on in my private life. I want a divorce from NatWest. I claim 'irreconcilable differences'. To put it simply, I believe that a bank should be able to have the so-called 'bright new' student bank account operational in less than 36 days; NatWest don't. For anyone ... Read the complete review

I am international student and have had nothing but a hard time since signing on with Natwest. They promise a student overdraft fee and a student card. I enquired about the overdraft fee and was told by the bank manager who opened my account that there was no reason I shouldn't receive it. I applied and three weeks later had not ...
