Advantages: Easy to navigate, Downloadable statements, Good range of options
Disadvantages: Too many passwords, Slow at times
I have held a Natwest current account for 4 years since leaving University, partially due to the fact that they supplied me with a large overdraft during my time as a student and partly due to the hassle involved in changing banks. When I heard that Natwest had developed an internet banking site I was very interested so decided to sign up. I completed the on-line application which took an eon, and after receiving my password logged on. This itself took about 15 minutes and what seemed like 25 passwords and questions, I was beginning to wonder if I had tried to log in to the ministry of defence by mistake (at least this proves they they don't take security lightly!). Anyway once I finally got in the site was well set out and easy to navigate. All the options that you would expect were there - setting up/cancelling standing orders, direct debits, checking balances, transferring money. I was particularly impressed with the ability to download statements to your PC. I downloaded mine to Excel and found the information very useful. I would reccomend this type of banking with Natwest to anyone who has easy access to a internet capable PC and finds it difficult to visit a branch regularly (also the patience of a saint helps alot!).

- 27/05/02 Hello and welcome to dooyoo! :)
I have been a NatWest customer for a long long time and used their online service since the start and am pretty happy with it :)
Anyway a good start although with a bit more relevant info/detail you will get higher ratings, more reads and classed as someone whose views can be relied on to give a good balanced view of a product or service :)
Stay, enjoy and good luck! :) |
