Advantages: Good for eBay

Disadvantages: They steal money

Let's face it, if eBay didn't own PayPal then no one would use it.

It is hard to verify an account. They told me that my bank account wasn't real despite sending me money. So there is a limit on what I can do - which is a good thing because they enjoy taking people's hard earned money.

They do tend to decide that if you have a large amount of money that you must be dealing drugs, or being illegal so simply take the money away from you. The fees are quite high - they must rake in so much money.

Fortunately, I haven't had my account suspended yet but I do fear that with their history of messing people about that they might decide to take my money. For that reason I never keep much money in my account.

They do help when there is a problem, but if you are a seller then it's very risky because they normally favour the buyer. It's good for use on eBay, but other than that - avoid at all costs!

Summary: Don't use unless you want to buy something on eBay.

But they weren't as popular, they wouldn't be as big without eBay.
