Advantages: can buy easily from ebay and other sites

Disadvantages: takes ages for money transers between banks

paypal has certainly become a invaluable site of recent years, to the point where you have to have it in order to do some transactions.
if your buying from ebay its easy and perfect and almost everyone accepts paypal.
whatever your buying now at most sites its paypal as the easy option.

You can use your credit or debit card to add funds to paypal which is very quick in order to pay for items.
or you can transfer cash which takes a little longer

its free and easy to register which is a good thing.
there are some complications and annoying parts though, like verifiying your bank for transer you need to go in and get a code they sent on your statement in order to proceed , ok thats the only time you need to do that. but its still annoying to have to do.
also trasnfering your money from paypal into your account seems to take forever. at least over a week which i find crazy as we are in 2008 things should be much more quicker,
still paypal is something you cant live without it seems if your buying or selling on the internet

Summary: a site that you need in order t buy and sell though nothing is completely easy with them
