Advantages: Ease of use, protection

Disadvantages: Slow to transfer to your bank

Lets face it Paypal is a godsend. I remember when it was little known and was going up against nochex. Obviously Paypal came out the winner hands down!

It is the premier payment system for EBAY and probably most over internet shopping sites!

The general premise is that you go to paypal.com and sign up for an account. This can then be linked to either your bank account or credit debit card so that you can have a generic system to pay with over the web. There is the option of not linking a bank account to it and you can use it as a holding account for any payments that you receive through Ebay, Amazon, etc.

Not only can you purchase items online through websites but you can send funds from you paypal account to other people with paypal accounts as long as you have there email address that they used to register with.

If linked to your bank account you can transfer funds back and fourth from them as well, which is great when you want all the money that you have received from EBAY :-)

The most important thing is that (in the main) you are protected so if aomething should go awry (such as not receiving your goods after you pay for them) then you can contact their customer support and you will be re-imbursed.

All in all and excellent service and one i will definitley not be without!!

Summary: Not having it would be like losing a limb
