Paypal is an online payment company which is owned by Ebay and is mainly used by the masses for sending and receiving payments for items brought and sold on Ebay.

The site is free and easy to join up and then there are various accounts that you can choose such as a business or personal account and each account has different criteria such as how much you can send or receive and what the fees you will be charged are. Fees vary from transaction to transaction and this information is available on the paypal website. You can also verify your account by having a small amount deposited in your bank account by paypal and receiving information (such as a pin code) on the phone or by post. This then lets other members of paypal/ebay know that your account has been verified and the details you have provided are correct.

The paypal site is very quick and simple to join up to and it's very easy to send a payment. You can either be linked via e-bay once you have won an item or you can send payments to people simply by having their e-mail address details.

Whilst the fees can be expensive at times (depending on the amount sent/received) Paypal is safe and secure and the money always goes in to my bank account as requested with no problems at all.

I am a very satisfied customer of Paypal and it is being accepted more and more on various websites such as Boots. You can find out more information on which retailers accept Paypal by visiting the website.

I am rating Paypal 4/5 as I do think the fees are a bit expensive and they make enough money already via Ebay fees but I can't see them now deciding to charge customers less so I guess we either put up or shut up!
