Disadvantages: The worst customer service

I have mixed views about Paypal. As a longterm ebay user, I think its widely acknowledged that Paypal is the safest - some might argue only - way to trade on ebay. I would agree with that however I have had a couple of incidents where things have gone wrong and I have found that despite paying my fees and adhereing strictly to the rules, I am not protected.
What has prompted me to write this review is that the Paypal customer services dept is one of the worst I have ever come across. They have automated responses to everything and in my experience have never satisfactorily resolved my issues. Luckily the sums of money have not been huge so I have just left it, but I would warn anyone that deals with larger sums that it can be problematic. I just dont trust it anymore.

On the plus side, withdrawing money into your bank account is easy enough and has never presented me any problems.

Summary: Its necessary to use but far from perfect
