Paypal is a payment processing site used predominatly on Ebay but also all over the internet on other websites. The idea behind paypal is very good but in reality the site isn't too good, in my experience anyway. I have used paypal for about four years now and a paypal dispute has never gone in my favour.

For example, I bought a CD Player on Ebay for my Mercedes and when it arrived it was broken. I made a paypal claim and offered to send it back to the seller for a refund. Paypal asked me to go to my Mercedes dealership and to have it written in writing that the CD player did not work. When I went to a dealership Mercedes said they would charge me £20 to have the unit tested and a letter certifying it broken. I was not going to pay this for something which only cost me £80. I contacted Paypal and they said in this instance I must go to my Police and get them to file a report that it was broken. I was shocked! As if I would do this! The police have better things to be doing with their time and I would probably have been arrested for wasting their time. Because of my reluctance to do so, the dispute went in favour of the seller.

This is just one example of my bad experiences with paypal but all my disputes as a seller or buyer, have gone against me when I have clearly been in the right.

I also know of many people who have been scammed through paypal. They have sent money to people who have cleared their paypal accounts and paypal say the only way they will get their money back is if the person who stole the money deposits any more money into their paypal or bank account used for their paypal.

The site claim you are protected when in fact you are not! You have been warned.
