Paypal to pay pals! (paypal.com)
Member Name: Pinkcustard
Advantages: Ease of use/ fast transactions Disadvantages: The customer service call centre Pay pal is a very useful tool enabling people to exchange money online without the need to swap bank account details. People likely to use this service are online shoppers as many internet based companies/shops now offer you the facility to pay through pay pal. Registering an account with Paypal is easy - all you need is an email address. You can set up either a personal account or if you are a business you can set up a premier account which allows you to handle larger amounts of money (the personal account limits your monthly withdrawal to £500). The site is easy to use and allows you to register numerous bank cards and accounts to your profile to give you a wide range of choice re payment. If you have money in your balance not yet withdrawn (i.e. from selling items on Ebay) you can use those funds to purchase rather than through your bank card. The only issue I have with paypal is their password security. If you forget your password the system will ask you to confirm your full bank card number however if your bank card has been replaced since you registered (and you haven't updated your details - doh) then you won't know that number (and your bank statement doesn't show it). This then leads to a very long winded call to their customer service team who are nothing short of useless - they cannot reset your password unless you know the last four digits of that card! Very frustrating which is a shame because the actual paypal site is so good it's a shame their customer service call centre lets the professional image/ease of use down. Summary: Well reccommended |
