Paypal to me is very handy as I shop online all the time. I first registered with paypal about three years ago and find it a great powerfull tool for sending and recieving money. I think it is safe also as it means you are not exchanging bank details with shops and online shops.

I do buy some stuff from overseas in the middle east and stuff and send money to some of my suplliers over there and with paypal all I have to do is send money to them by entering their email adress and the amount I want to send no matter what currency it converts it for you.

So simple and easy the only downfall is the charges if you are selling on ebay it does take a good percentage of your final price which is annoying.

Apart from that it is safe and you are insured up unto so much so it is that extra wee bit of worry took off you.

I love paypal and use it everyday and it does take a few days to set up an account because the ask you to check your bank account in a few days as the have took to small charges out of your bank account then you confirm the amounts then they know that it is you who owns the account and you are ready to use quite simple process.
