I applied for a mortgage through Principality as they do have some very competitive rates. However 4 weeks later and they still haven't 'processed' all our paperwork. Terrible experience with them. Their customer service is some of the worst I have ever come across. I took out a mortgage with them as they offer pretty decent rates but please do not fall for it. The Principality Building Society is the only building society or bank that is based in Wales, and has it headquaters in Wales. If you want a hassle free internet account do NOT open one with the Principality. The website is a disaster and having spent the last 6 weeks getting it up and running I have now insufficient confidence in them to put money in.The staff are fine and v helpful but whoever created the website needs a different vocation!
