Advantages: Good service, high interest

Disadvantages: None really - except a poor reputation eg. sir fred goodwin

Whilst the Royal Bank of Scotland recently gained the reputation of being unreliable as it has been mainly nationalised, it is still in my opinion the best bank to use in Scotland.

They still pay good interest rates compared to other banks, both on savings accounts and current accounts.

Credit card interest is also reasonable and they have a vast number of accounts to suit anyone from children to students and regular account holders to businesses.

My local branch is great - the cash machine outside is in good condition, is never out of order, always has money and has all the features you would expect. The staff inside are very kind, reliable and helpful - they remember you individually and as a person so they are very nice to deal with. They are very knowledgeable about the services and everything you could need - so it is a pleasure going inside.

I would recommend RBS to anyone - they are by far the greatest bank in scotland.
